Apogee, Perigee conveys the rise and fall of a romantic partnership in the form of a photo narrative. Apogee describes the climax or the pinnacle of an experience, and more specifically, the time when the moon is farthest from the earth. Perigee is the antithesis, the time when the moon is closest to the earth. Consequently the work speaks to the many phases of a relationship, the waning and waxing of intense emotions as the partners navigate the complicated landscape of love.

Similar to the moon and earth, the lovers are pulled together by a certain gravity, one that is difficult to break free from. As the viewer watches the tension become increasingly distorted, they are left wondering what happens next, and if the cycle ever ends. What happens when two opposite forces are brought together just to fall apart? Apogee, Perigee looks to find out.
